As reported in the Wall St Journal and NPR Two-Way, J.C. Penny recently announced their return to catalog marketing after an absence of 5 years.
It appears that 12% of their online customers were in fact, catalog customers using online as the ordering channel.
In March they will mail a 120 page catalog featuring product from its Home department.
Just goes to show the enduring power of print in a digital world. In fact, the Direct Marketing Association reported an increase in catalog mailings for the first time since 2006!
